Israel Aerospace Industries Announces Participation in Marrakech Air Show 2026
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), a prominent player in the aerospace, defense, and space industries, has confirmed its inaugural participation in the upcoming Marrakech International Air Show in 2026. This announcement marks a significant milestone for the company as it seeks to showcase its advanced technologies and solutions designed to meet the growing defense and security needs of Morocco, Africa, and the broader region.
In a recent press release, IAI highlighted its commitment to presenting proven solutions that have demonstrated efficacy in real-world scenarios, particularly in recent high-intensity conflicts. The company emphasizes its technological capabilities, which offer exceptional performance, robustness, and reliability in the most complex environments. This strategic participation comes at a time when relations between Morocco and IAI have strengthened significantly, particularly following the military cooperation agreement signed in November 2021 in Rabat.
Since the establishment of this agreement, exchanges and visits between the two nations have intensified. Notably, IAI has equipped the Royal Armed Forces of Morocco with the Barak MX air defense system, under a contract estimated at $500 million. During the Marrakech International Air Show 2026, IAI plans to unveil a wide array of advanced systems and technologies. These offerings will include air defense solutions, collaborative combat technologies known as OPAL, the precision strike system LORA, the MALE Heron MK II drone, next-generation communication satellites, and expertise in converting passenger aircraft into cargo carriers, along with maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.
