New Flight Connections Between Bordeaux and Agadir for Winter 2023

New Flight Schedule from Bordeaux to Agadir

In an exciting development for travelers, two airlines are now offering flights connecting Bordeaux, France, to Agadir, Morocco. easyJet has launched its new direct route to the Moroccan coastal city on Sunday, October 25, while Volotea has postponed its flight resumption to December 19, creating a significant gap of nearly eight weeks during the fall season. This variation in scheduling means that travelers will have to navigate the differences in available flights as they plan their winter getaways.

This winter, the connection between Bordeaux and Agadir is taking on a new format, significantly enhancing travel options for those in the Southwest of France. easyJet has officially inaugurated its flights to the popular Moroccan resort, with plans for two weekly rotations on Wednesdays and Sundays, promising a travel time of approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes. When sales opened in April, the airline offered an attractive starting fare of €50 for a one-way ticket, excluding additional baggage fees.

The inaugural flight, designated U2 1845, was scheduled to depart from Bordeaux at 7:30 AM on October 25, presenting residents with a convenient and direct way to reach Agadir before Volotea’s winter service becomes available.

Volotea Delays Resumption of Flights

Volotea's postponement has been highlighted in an analysis published on October 20 by AeroRoutes, which compared the original flight schedules with those updated as of October 18. The Bordeaux-Agadir route has been moved from its initially planned start date of November 3 to the new date of December 19. This adjustment also reflects on the official Bordeaux airport website. Additionally, the Bordeaux-Marrakech route is now expected to resume on the same date, with plans to reduce its frequency from two flights per week to one starting January 7, 2027.

Other routes affected by similar delays include Lille-Agadir, Nantes-Agadir, and Strasbourg-Marrakech, all of which have seen their resumption dates pushed to December 19. In contrast, easyJet is set to introduce two weekly flights between Nantes and Essaouira starting Tuesday, October 27, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. For travelers from Bordeaux, it will not be until December 19 that both airlines will be offering flights to Agadir during the same period, according to their currently published schedules.
