Celebrating Tradition and Faith: The Moussem in Tililt
The annual Moussem of the traditional Sidi Ahmed El Jidi school concluded on Monday in the commune of Imsouane, which is part of the Agadir Ida-Outanane prefecture. This significant event was marked by a profound atmosphere of reverence and spirituality, attended by notable figures including the Wali of the Souss-Massa region and the governor of Agadir Ida-Outanane, Saïd Amzazi, as well as esteemed scholars, clerics, and various civil and military dignitaries.
During the ceremony, emphasis was placed on the pivotal role that traditional educational institutions play in the memorization of the Holy Quran and the instillation of religious values such as piety and tolerance. The Moussem featured recitations of Quranic verses alongside praises for the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon Him, coupled with a variety of educational, cultural, and sporting activities. Additionally, awards were presented to students who successfully completed the memorization of the Holy Quran, celebrating their dedication and hard work.
As the event drew to a close, attendees raised prayers invoking God to protect His Majesty King Mohammed VI and to bless the Sovereign with health and happiness, alongside SAR Prince Heir Moulay El Hassan and SAR Prince Moulay Rachid, as well as all members of the esteemed royal family. They also offered prayers for the souls of the late SM Mohammed V and SM Hassan II, ensuring that the legacy of their contributions is remembered and honored.
