Arkia Airlines Resumes Direct Flights to Marrakech After Three-Year Hiatus

Arkia Airlines Restarts Direct Flights to Marrakech

In a significant development for travel between Israel and Morocco, Arkia Airlines has announced the resumption of its direct flights from Tel Aviv to Marrakech, effective August 24, 2026. This marks the return of service after a three-year suspension due to the conflict in Gaza. According to reports from Israeli media, the airline will operate flights twice a week, specifically on Mondays and Wednesdays, utilizing Airbus A320 aircraft. Ticket prices for one-way flights will start at approximately $329, with journey times ranging from five to six hours, leading travelers to Marrakech Menara Airport.

The decision to reinstate this route follows several months of coordination with aviation and security authorities, ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations. Additionally, Arkia has informed travelers that Israeli passport holders will require a visa for entry into Morocco, emphasizing the need for proper documentation prior to travel.

This Tel Aviv to Marrakech route was initially launched in 2021. Before the suspension of flights, other airlines, including Israir and El Al, were providing similar services, offering up to three flights per week. With the reopening of this key travel link, Arkia aims to meet the increasing demand for flights between these two vibrant destinations.
