Bryan Adams to Grace Casablanca with an Intimate Concert
On May 7, 2026, the renowned artist Bryan Adams will make his highly anticipated debut in Casablanca for an acoustic concert as part of his global "Bare Bones Tour." This performance was added at the last minute, driven by the fervent demand of a public eager to be included in the artist's tour. Bryan Adams has taken the initiative to self-produce the concert, showcasing his affection for Morocco.
Initially, Casablanca was not included in the Moroccan leg of Bryan Adams' tour. However, the upcoming performance at the Mohammed VI Complex is set to be one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year, thanks to the persistent calls from the Casablanca audience for their own concert date.
Before landing in Morocco, Bryan Adams will perform in Tunisia on May 2 and 3, 2026, at the Dougga amphitheater, one of the best-preserved ancient sites in the world. Following these shows, he will head to Morocco, where he will perform in Rabat on May 5 and then in Tangier on May 6, wrapping up a three-day stint in the country before continuing his tour, which concludes in Spain on July 3.
Demand from Casablanca Leads to Concert Date
The lack of suitable theater venues in Casablanca was the primary reason for its exclusion from the initial tour schedule, with organizers opting for Rabat and Tangier instead. However, the voice of the Casablanca public was heard loud and clear, leading to a strong demand for a concert. In response, the organizers sought a solution, finding it at the Mohammed V Complex, which can accommodate up to 14,000 attendees. They aim to transform the venue into an intimate theater setting, reminiscent of the setup used by Gad El Maleh during his recent show there.
About a month ago, Bryan Adams' team visited the venue to inspect it. Plans were presented and approved, with only 3,000 seats being made available to create a more personal concert experience, complete with redesigned entrance and seating arrangements, and a stage tailored to the specific needs of Adams' crew.
Hakim Chagraoui, CEO of Global Entertainment and NRJ Morocco, is instrumental in bringing this concert to Casablanca. His role is not a typical arrangement with a fixed fee; instead, he is co-producing the concert alongside NuCoast, Bryan Adams' production company, purely out of his love for Morocco. Chagraoui emphasized the significance of the limited seating, stating that it ensures each attendee will experience a unique and almost secret moment with one of the greatest artists of our time.
What makes this event particularly unique is Bryan Adams' decision to self-produce his own tour, a rarity in Morocco, according to the organizers. Rather than opting for a large festival stage, he is choosing an acoustic, intimate format that allows for a more personal connection with his audience. The "Bare Bones Tour," which has been running since 2010, features Adams performing solo with just his acoustic guitar and harmonica, accompanied by pianist Gary Breit. Over the course of 90 minutes, he will perform some of his greatest hits, including "Summer of '69," "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You," and "Heaven," all reimagined for this stripped-down format.
With over 65 million albums sold, a slew of Grammy Awards, and an Oscar nomination to his name, Bryan Adams has nothing left to prove. His latest album, "Roll With the Punches," released on August 29, 2025, under his independent label Bad Records, showcases his complete artistic freedom at the age of 66.
Ticket sales have launched across various digital platforms, with prices ranging from 590 MAD for standard seating to 1,590 MAD for the front row. As of April 23, over 1,000 tickets have already been sold, indicating a strong demand that could lead to a projected sell-out of around 70% by the concert date. In contrast, the Rabat performance, which has a limited capacity of 1,000 seats, is nearing a sell-out as well, highlighting the high demand from long-time fans, particularly those in their 40s and older who grew up with Adams' music.
