The Bazaar collection is a hand-knotted masterpiece that celebrates the dynamic colors and craftsmanship of contemporary Moroccan textiles, made entirely of 100% wool sourced from India. Each rug boasts an array of vibrant, multi-hued patterns that flow across the surface, showcasing rugged geometric motifs alongside expressive painterly lines. The Bazaar collection is available in five distinctive patterns - prism, sunset, saffron, mosaic, and spice multi - and comes in three sizes: 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6”, and 9’ x 12’. A 5’ x 8’ rug from this collection may retail for under $1,699. Cameron Capel, the president of sales and marketing for Capel Rugs, notes, “Every rug in the Bazaar collection feels like a curated artwork – bold, layered, and full of movement.”
The Casablanca collection provides a fresh take on Moroccan design with its bright, airy aesthetics. Hand-loomed in India from 100% New Zealand felted wool, these rugs are perfect for both traditional and contemporary settings. The collection features light backgrounds complemented by soft greens and calming blues, accented with rugged geometric designs. The four available designs include sage multi, indigo multi, desert, and ivory multi, also offered in three sizes: 5’ x 8’, 7’9” x 9’9”, and 9’ x 12’. A 5’ x 8’ rug may retail for under $1,199. Last but not least, the Sahara collection pays homage to Moroccan minimalism with its clean geometric lines set against light, neutral backgrounds reminiscent of desert landscapes. Crafted from premium New Zealand wool, each rug features a thick, dense pile and is available in six patterns and colorways, including stone, ash, sand, salt, chalk, and reed. Three sizes are available: 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6”, and 9’ x 12’, with a 5’ x 8’ rug retailing for under $1,099.
In addition to these Moroccan treasures, Capel Rugs is debuting the Calypso collection, which is hand-knotted in India using a blend of 80% premium wool and 20% viscose to achieve an elegant shimmer. Inspired by natural movements, each piece showcases soft, neutral tones of warm taupe, subtle greys, and ivory highlights, flowing into fluid, abstract patterns. The Calypso collection features three patterns – tidepool, reef, and glacier – in sizes from 5’6” x 8’6” to 9’6” x 13’6”, with the 5’6” x 8’6” rug retailing for under $3,399.

The Allure collection, made from a blend of 80% wool and 20% nylon, explores the subtle complexities of form, color, and texture through abstract designs that evoke painterly gestures and shifting landscapes. Allure comes in four colorways and multiple sizes, with a 5’ x 7’6” rug priced at under $1,199. Meanwhile, the Summerfield collection, crafted from 100% polyester, exhibits traditional designs that appear beautifully time-worn. Available in a range of gentle colors, each rug captures a nostalgic charm reminiscent of a summer afternoon. Sizes vary, with a 5’3” x 7’10” rug retailing for under $449.
As Capel Rugs prepares for a bustling High Point Market, they remain optimistic despite the challenges facing the home furnishings industry.
