Musical Journey Through Geography at the Pentagrama Sonoro Concert
On Saturday, May 16, the Municipal Theater of Casablanca hosted a captivating concert titled "Pentagrama Sonoro: Geography Made Music." This extraordinary event was conducted by the renowned Félix Cárdenas Vargas and showcased the talents of the Andean Orchestra of PUCV, a group committed to bringing the rich musical heritage of Latin America to the forefront. The concert was a collaborative effort organized by the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, the Illustrious Municipality of Casablanca, and the Municipal Theater of the locality, all under the auspices of a tour funded by the Music Fund of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage (MINCAP).
The event also featured a special performance by the Latin American Orchestra from the Manuel Bravo Reyes School in Casablanca, under the direction of Sebastián Jiménez Rojas. This concert formed part of a broader regional initiative aimed at promoting Latin American root music across various territories within the region, thereby fostering a deeper appreciation and connection to this vibrant musical culture.
