Trial of Former Municipal Leaders in Fez
The Financial Crimes Court in Fez is set to open a significant chapter in a legal case concerning the management of Ras El Ma Municipality on Tuesday, June 2. This case involves serious allegations of abuse of power, misappropriation of public funds, and contentious real estate projects. The defendants being prosecuted include the former president of the municipality, Ahmed Jilali, his father, Jilali Sabahi, who also served as a previous president of the same municipality, and a former deputy during their administration, Mohamed Hadawi. Additionally, a fourth suspect is currently on the run following the issuance of a warrant for his arrest.
