King Mohammed VI Highlights Stability as Morocco's Strategic Asset

Stability: The Cornerstone of Morocco's Development

In a significant address delivered on the occasion of the 27th Throne Day celebration, King Mohammed VI of Morocco emphasized the vital role of stability in the nation’s development strategy. He declared that "stability today is the fundamental factor in the equation of development and is the strategic capital that Morocco cherishes." The King pointed out that political and institutional stability is a rare commodity that is invaluable, especially in a regional and international landscape characterized by volatility and unrest.

King Mohammed VI articulated Morocco's strength, rooted in its rich traditions as a nation-state, where institutions effectively fulfill their roles within a framework of harmony and integration. He referenced Morocco's successful organization of continental and international events, which has garnered admiration globally and, at times, stirred envy among others. The achievements in maintaining security and stability, along with the effectiveness of its institutions, have led to positive indicators across various sectors, thereby enhancing Morocco's economic ascent and reinforcing national sovereignty.

Looking ahead, the King projected a growth rate of approximately 4.9% for the year 2025, with expectations for similar or even exceeding performance in 2026. He proudly noted that Morocco has become Africa's leading automobile exporter, with an impressive production capacity nearing one million vehicles annually. Furthermore, exports in the automotive and aerospace sectors constitute over 40% of the nation's total exports, while food and pharmaceutical industries cover approximately 80% of national needs.

The Moroccan monarch reiterated his focus on national service over personal glory, stating that his primary concern lies in fostering an environment that enables all Moroccans to enjoy a dignified and free life. Each year, Morocco commemorates the day King Mohammed VI ascended to the throne on July 30, a moment marked by a speech reflecting on the general conditions within the kingdom.
