Exceptional Closure of Moroccan Banks for Eid al-Fitr
The Professional Group of Moroccan Banks has officially announced that in celebration of Eid al-Fitr, there will be an exceptional holiday on Monday, March 23, 2026, during which all banking institutions across the kingdom will remain closed. This announcement was made today, Tuesday, and aims to inform both bank employees and clients about the temporary shut down.
According to the statement from the Professional Group, it is the responsibility of each bank to notify its staff and customers regarding this exceptional closure. Furthermore, the group emphasized that while the physical branches will be closed, banks are committed to ensuring the continuity of essential banking services through digital channels. They will also ensure that automated teller machines (ATMs) are regularly stocked and technically operational during this period.
