Strengthening Morocco's Position as a Health Hub
The Morocco Medical Expo 2026 took place from April 17 to 19, 2026, in Casablanca, under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. This significant event brought together over 12,000 health professionals, 120 exhibitors, and representatives from 15 countries at the International Exhibition and Convention Center (ICEC). The expo has firmly established itself as a key event on both continental and international scales, showcasing Morocco's growing influence in the health sector.
From the moment the doors opened, the expo witnessed remarkable participation from health professionals, experts, and decision-makers from diverse backgrounds. The event's director, Imad Benjelloun, welcomed several official African delegations, including one led by Jean-Louis Moulot, a ministerial advisor from the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, and Technical Education of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. Notable attendees also included the president of the Mauritanian Nephrology Association along with representatives from Mauritania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Côte d'Ivoire.
This edition of the expo featured participation from institutions and stakeholders representing over fifteen countries, including China, France, Italy, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Mauritania, Canada, and Belgium. Such international involvement highlights the Morocco Medical Expo's growing prominence as a platform for exchange and cooperation in the health field.
A Comprehensive Scientific Program
The 2026 edition distinguished itself with a rich and diverse scientific program. Over 130 speakers and experts participated in 23 scientific sessions that covered more than 70 topics across various medical and technical specialties. The program was organized around five major themes: the Global African Health Forum (FAGS), the Higher Institutes of Nursing Professions and Health Techniques (ISPITS), physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation, biomedical engineering, and health information systems (DTAIH).
Organizationally, the expo occupied approximately 8,000 square meters and facilitated nearly 100 scientific conferences spread across five large halls. The event attracted more than 12,000 professional visitors from various health fields, alongside participation from approximately 120 exhibitors representing 15 countries, thus confirming the success of this edition.
With a continuously growing international participation and an extensive scientific program, the Morocco Medical Expo 2026 has confirmed its status as an essential gathering in the medical sector in Africa, further solidifying Morocco's reputation as a regional hub for health and medical innovation.
