National Communication Tour: The Moroccan Liberal Party's Commitment to Citizens' Needs

The Launch of the National Communication Tour in Fes

The National Rally of Independents (RNI) commenced its national communication tour in the historical city of Fes, as emphasized by party president Mohamed Chouki. He indicated that Fes was chosen for the inaugural event of the "RNI Program" due to its significant historical and national symbolism, as well as the vital role played by its members in fortifying the party's presence and engaging with the citizens on the ground. During the meeting held on this occasion, Chouki articulated that the "RNI Program" is the product of extensive listening and direct communication with various segments of Moroccan society. He stressed that this initiative is not merely a response to specific political circumstances or temporary stakes but is rooted in a vision that emphasizes proximity to citizens and responding to their expectations as a steadfast strategic choice for the party.

Addressing Citizens' Concerns and Future Commitments

Chouki acknowledged that Morocco is undergoing significant social transformations, during which the youth have raised their voices amidst a rapidly changing world dominated by technology and social media. This comment subtly referenced the protests of Generation Z and the party's enduring commitment to listen to citizens and provide realistic answers to their expectations. He underscored that the approach of engaging with citizens through genuine communication and active listening has always been a strategic choice, grounded in the belief that politics loses its meaning when distanced from the people and becomes devoid of value if it does not connect with citizens' daily realities. The party's officials have consistently been present in various cities, villages, and communities, listening to citizens and understanding the challenges facing Moroccan families. Chouki remarked that citizens are not merely searching for slogans; rather, they are looking for tangible solutions that address their genuine needs.

He pointed out that the interactions held over the past months with thousands of citizens, along with professionals, youth, women, and local stakeholders across the country, revealed that Moroccans expect politics to provide hope, solutions, and practical answers to issues impacting their daily lives. The rising cost of living emerged as the primary concern for Moroccan families, with the essence of the issue being what remains in their pockets at the end of each month. In this context, Chouki announced the launch of the national tour from Fes, through which the party will gradually unveil its commitments under the "RNI Program," beginning with the commitment to ensure sustainable protection of purchasing power. He emphasized that discussions surrounding purchasing power have expanded beyond mere price considerations to encompass social security, family stability, and future confidence, suggesting that the next phase should aim at enhancing income and strengthening the middle class through an economy that grows from the middle up rather than from the top down. Additionally, families must be shielded from fluctuations, and citizens must be supported through various circumstances and challenges.

Chouki reiterated that the party's response to these challenges would not be based on populism, easy slogans, or unrealistic promises; instead, it is founded on listening to citizens, being close to them, and adopting a realistic approach that ensures politics serves as a means of solution rather than a source of despair. He explained that the announced commitment aims to protect the purchasing power of Moroccan families and strengthen their resilience against crises and fluctuations. This commitment translates into four practical measures which include establishing a social shield to combat the rising cost of living, a savings shield for workers in the informal sector, a shield to improve wages and pensions, and an educational shield for families. Chouki emphasized that these measures are not isolated initiatives or responses to disparate issues; they form part of a comprehensive project aimed at protecting purchasing power and enhancing social security. He pointed out that safeguarding purchasing power cannot be achieved through unrealistic promises but requires wealth creation, economic stimulation, and responsible resource management.

Moreover, he noted that the party's commitment extends beyond addressing temporary difficulties, aiming instead to build a lasting framework for support, protection, and empowerment that enables each citizen to manage the cost of living and secure their achievements against economic and social fluctuations. Chouki asserted that protecting purchasing power should not merely be a temporary response to crises but a safety valve that instills confidence in families about the future and ensures their basic living conditions. He affirmed the party's commitment to sustainably protect purchasing power, support the middle class, and enhance the income of Moroccans who toil and suffer from the effects of inflation. In conclusion, Chouki clarified that the "RNI Program" draws its reference from what has been communicated by citizens, builds upon achievements from previous years, and looks forward to what needs to be accomplished in the future under the prudent policies of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which prioritize safeguarding citizens' dignity as a core objective of state policies.
