Nestlé Morocco Reinforces Safety Assurance for Infant Milk Products

Nestlé Morocco Ensures Safety and Quality of Infant Milk Products

In light of increasing concerns among parents regarding infant nutrition, Nestlé Morocco has stepped forward to firmly reaffirm the safety and reliability of its infant milk products. On March 16, 2026, the company published a statement clarifying that all its products available in the Kingdom adhere to the prevailing safety and quality standards, both nationally and internationally. This response comes amidst recent worries surrounding food safety, though Nestlé emphasizes that none of its products are implicated in any recent health alerts.

Specifically addressing the recent announcement from the National Office for Food Safety, known as ONSSA, the company stated that its infant formulas are not affected by any health warnings. Nestlé Morocco prides itself on a stringent control system that oversees every production stage. Before reaching the market, its infant milk undergoes more than 1,200 tests and quality checks, all in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and the internationally recognized HACCP system, which is crucial for food safety.

The company reassured consumers that all batches currently available in Morocco have complied with all required procedures and are continuously sold without any recalls being recorded, thereby fostering trust in a particularly sensitive market. Beyond technical aspects, Nestlé emphasizes a commitment to scientific rigor and transparency. In cases of uncertainty or the need for further verification, strict internal protocols are activated to ensure optimal responsiveness. This approach is part of a broader strategy to provide safe and suitable nutritional solutions for infants.

"The safety, health, and well-being of babies are at the core of all priorities at Nestlé," states Jeries Alghawaly, General Manager of the North-West Africa cluster at Nestlé MENA. He reminds that all products available on the Moroccan market meet strict standards, which is essential for maintaining parental trust. With a presence in Morocco for several decades, Nestlé's history is closely tied to infant nutrition. Since 1867, when founder Henri Nestlé developed a formula for infants who could not be breastfed in a context marked by high infant mortality rates, this mission remains at the heart of the company's identity. Today, Nestlé Morocco continues this commitment with the same level of rigor, focusing on quality, safety, and clear communication.
