Pratt & Whitney Canada Unveils New Manufacturing Facility in Morocco

Pratt & Whitney Canada Launches State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Site

On April 21, 2026, Pratt & Whitney Canada, a subsidiary of RTX (NYSE: RTX), proudly inaugurated a cutting-edge 130,000-square-foot manufacturing facility located in the Midparc Industrial Zone of Nouaceur, Morocco. This innovative site is set to play a pivotal role in the production of static and structural components for aircraft engines, specifically focusing on the renowned PT6 engine family. With its emphasis on lean manufacturing principles and advanced digital systems, this facility is designed to enhance production efficiency and quality.

The establishment of this facility is projected to generate around 200 new jobs by 2030, thereby contributing significantly to the local economy and workforce development. Maria Della Posta, the president of Pratt & Whitney Canada, emphasized the strategic importance of this site in strengthening global supply chains and meeting the increasing demand for reliable and high-quality aircraft engines. She stated, "This site is a strategic extension of our global production network and demonstrates our commitment to building resilient supply chains worldwide that will enable us to increase production for our customers."

Since commencing construction in 2024, the facility has swiftly transitioned to operational readiness, underscoring the company’s commitment to timely and efficient development. Key milestones achieved include workforce recruitment, technical training, and the installation of advanced machining technologies. Moreover, the collaboration with local organizations aims to foster the next generation of aerospace professionals while bolstering Morocco's position as a key player in the aerospace sector.

In addition to this new facility, Collins Aerospace, another RTX business, has been actively manufacturing cockpit solutions and flight controls in Morocco since 2012, creating a robust presence in the region with approximately 250 employees across both sites. As a leader in the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units, Pratt & Whitney continues to push the boundaries of innovation, offering support for over 90,000 in-service engines through its extensive global network of maintenance, repair, and overhaul facilities.

With over 180,000 employees worldwide, Pratt & Whitney is at the forefront of technological advancements, providing integrated defense systems and developing next-generation manufacturing solutions that address the most pressing challenges faced by global customers. In 2025, the company reported sales exceeding $88 billion, reinforcing its stature as a leader in the aerospace industry.
