The Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat has been honored with the prestigious title of the best stadium in the world for the year 2025. This accolade was awarded during the 16th edition of the "Stadium of the Year" competition, which is recognized globally for evaluating modern sports infrastructures. The competition this year featured 28 venues that were either newly constructed or fully renovated in 2025. Architectural enthusiasts from around the globe actively participated in the voting process, culminating in a total of 7,451 votes to determine the winners, with five Moroccan stadiums in contention.
With an impressive score of 14,481 points, the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium topped the final rankings, significantly ahead of its nearest competitor, the Grand Stadium of Tangier, which secured second place with 10,453 points. The Claro Arena in Santiago, Chile, rounded out the top three with 10,318 points. Alongside the grand winner and the runner-up from Tangier, other Moroccan nominees included the Moulay Hassan Stadium, the Olympic Stadium of Rabat, and the Medina Stadium, all of which garnered admiration during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).
