PSG Academy Launches in Fez: A New Chapter for Moroccan Football

PSG Academy Expands Its Reach in Morocco with New Fez Location

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Academy is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new facility in Fez, Morocco, set to take place this Sunday at the prestigious Euromed University campus. This expansion marks a significant milestone, making Fez the third city in Morocco to host the esteemed French football club's youth training program, which is designed to nurture young talent and foster a passion for the sport.

On the opening day, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in discovery sessions showcasing the state-of-the-art facilities. The program will include training sessions led by certified PSG coaches, engaging matches, and talent identification activities. Structured sessions will be organized by age group to ensure a tailored experience, with strict adherence to designated time slots. Due to the anticipated demand, registration is mandatory and spots will be limited for each session, emphasizing the exclusive nature of this opportunity.

Building on a Strong Foundation in Morocco

The establishment of the Fez academy follows PSG's strategic push into the Moroccan market, which began with the opening of its first academy in Casablanca in September 2024. This initial facility is equipped with a full-size football pitch, along with various smaller courts for different formats of the game, including 5-a-side, 7-a-side, and 9-a-side options, as well as relaxation areas. Catering to both boys and girls aged between 4 and 18, the Casablanca academy has already made a significant impact on youth football in the region.

Notably, Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, who joined PSG in 2021, played a pivotal role during the inauguration of the Casablanca site, helping to strengthen the club's connection with its Moroccan fanbase. Following this, the academy expanded further in August 2025 with the opening of two additional sites in Rabat, providing young athletes with access to top-notch training facilities that include a football pitch, a sports hall, a gym, an athletics track, and a heated indoor pool, all designed to support the development of children aged 4 to 12.

The Casablanca project is spearheaded by Daoud Boulanger, an experienced UEFA and CAF-licensed coach with a background in both French and Moroccan football federations. All PSG Academy locations adhere to the club's unique training methodology, with coaches receiving specialized training at PSG's main center in Paris, ensuring that the highest standards of coaching are maintained for aspiring young footballers.

Founded in 2005, the PSG Academy has expanded to 21 countries, boasting over 210 training sites and enrolling more than 50,000 children worldwide. The club has indicated plans for further openings in Morocco, aiming to solidify the country as an essential hub within its international academy network, thus enhancing the landscape of youth football in the region.
