Revolutionizing Light Aviation in Morocco: Maroc Skydive's Ambitious Vision

Transforming the Moroccan Skies with Maroc Skydive

Maroc Skydive, under the leadership of Mahfoud Sallam, is set to significantly alter the landscape of light aviation in Morocco. Located in Tit Mellil, the school is not merely focused on recreational flights; it is dedicated to comprehensive pilot training programs that are certified by the civil aviation authority. With an innovative approach that includes a blend of pilot training, ambitious tourism projects, and a strategic diversification into various industries, Maroc Skydive aims to make the realm of sports and leisure aviation accessible to a broader audience.

The pilot training program is meticulously designed to provide aspiring aviators with the necessary skills and knowledge. It encompasses 35 hours of theoretical coursework alongside 30 hours of practical flying experiences, all guided by a diverse team of instructors from Morocco, France, and Spain. The structured pathway to obtaining a light aircraft pilot license includes a medical examination, theoretical exams, and a final practical test overseen by a designated examiner from the aviation authority. Mahfoud Sallam emphasizes, "Our goal is to foster a culture of light aviation in Morocco," highlighting the school's commitment to nurturing future pilots.

A Pioneering Vision for Air Sports in Africa

A standout project in Sallam's vision is the development of a vast aeronautical complex in Azemmour, strategically located at the confluence of the Oum Er-Rbia river. This 22-hectare site is poised to become the largest air sports hub in Africa, featuring facilities for parachuting, paragliding (both powered and unpowered), and a dedicated flight school. The entrepreneur has secured the necessary permits, including those required for aviation and military operations, and is awaiting final approval from the regional investment center to commence development in the coming months.

Moreover, the ecosystem created by Maroc Skydive extends into industrial and advertising services. By acquiring Agricolair Maghreb, Sallam has ventured into the agricultural aerial spraying market in collaboration with the National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA). Additionally, he claims to be the only operator capable of providing aerial banner towing services in Morocco, showcasing the company's commitment to diversifying its offerings.
