Royal Air Maroc has announced a temporary suspension of several international flights originating from the airports of Casablanca, Tangier, and Marrakech. This decision comes in response to the sharp increase in kerosene prices caused by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, alongside a slowdown in demand for certain air routes.
In an official statement, the airline explained that this exceptional rise in operating costs is having a direct and significant impact on the global aviation sector. As a result, many airlines are compelled to review their flight schedules and temporarily adjust their capacity to navigate this challenging economic and operational landscape.
Within this context, the national airline has declared the temporary suspension of flights on several international routes, specifically:
- Casablanca – Brazzaville
- Casablanca – Kinshasa
- Casablanca – Yaoundé
- Casablanca – Libreville
Royal Air Maroc has assured that it will take all necessary measures to assist affected travelers during this temporary suspension, aiming to mitigate the repercussions by providing appropriate solutions and support to the impacted passengers.
The statement concluded by highlighting that the airline is closely monitoring developments in the international situation, affirming its commitment to gradually resume these routes as soon as operational and economic conditions permit.
