Significant Changes to Moroccan Train Services Announced for April 2026

Moroccan Railway Service Adjustments for Upcoming High-Speed Line Project

The National Office of Railways in Morocco has officially announced exceptional changes to the train schedules between Kenitra and Marrakech, set to take place from April 21 to April 23, 2026. These modifications are necessary due to ongoing construction related to a high-speed rail project aimed at enhancing the country’s transportation infrastructure.

According to a statement released by the office, trains traveling to and from Marrakech will temporarily halt at the Sidi Ibrahim station, which will serve as the new endpoint during the construction period, replacing the main Marrakech station. This strategic adjustment is designed to facilitate the smooth transition of services while minimizing disruption for passengers.

In response to these changes, the railway authority will ensure that passengers can still travel between Sidi Ibrahim and Marrakech through dedicated bus services, which will operate in both directions. New schedules have been developed to align with these temporary modifications, ensuring that travelers can continue their journeys with minimal inconvenience.

Train operations are expected to resume to their regular schedules starting Friday, April 24, 2026, following the completion of the construction work.
