Snowfall Expected in Mountainous Regions of Morocco: Weather Alert Issued

The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced the expectation of significant snowfall across various mountainous regions in Morocco, including the Al Haouz province. This weather event is predicted to commence from midday on Tuesday and continue until midday on Wednesday.

In a warning bulletin categorized under an 'Orange' alert level, the Directorate indicated that these snowfalls will primarily affect elevations exceeding 2000 meters, with anticipated snow accumulation ranging between 10 to 20 centimeters. In addition to Al Haouz, the forecast also covers the provinces of Ouarzazate, Tinghir, and Azilal.

This expected snowfall is prompting local authorities to prepare for the impending weather changes, particularly in mountainous areas and along rugged roadways, to ensure safe travel and facilitate rapid response measures when necessary.
