Tragic Death at Casablanca's BNPJ: Investigation Confirms Intentional Act

Investigation Concludes with Disturbing Findings

The Casablanca Court of Appeal has officially announced the conclusion of an investigation into the tragic death of an individual who fell from the fourth floor of the National Brigade of Judicial Police (BNPJ) headquarters. This announcement comes as the public prosecutor's office revealed that the deceased was under investigation when the incident occurred. On February 19, it was reported that a suspect had jumped from a fourth-floor office window, resulting in serious injuries that ultimately led to their death in the hospital.

In an effort to maintain transparency and uphold the integrity of the investigation, the public prosecutor ordered a comprehensive probe conducted by the judicial police in Casablanca. The investigation included interviews with the officers involved, technical assessments by crime scene specialists, and the examination of surveillance footage from the BNPJ premises. The findings indicated unequivocally that the deceased voluntarily leaped from the office window, a fact corroborated by the surveillance images. The fall resulted in catastrophic injuries that were directly responsible for the individual's death.

Autopsy Results Reveal Multiple Traumas

A tripartite medical commission tasked with conducting the autopsy confirmed that the death stemmed from complications arising from multiple traumatic injuries. The autopsy report detailed severe fractures to the skull, facial bones, ribs, and femur, as well as a subdural hematoma, injuries consistent with a deliberate jump from a height. Toxicological analyses of blood, gastric contents, and urine samples showed no presence of any foreign chemical or biological substances. Furthermore, a scientific examination of items found near the site of the fall, along with biological traces, revealed only one genetic profile— that of the deceased— without any indication of third-party involvement.

In light of these conclusive findings, the public prosecutor's office has decided to close the case without further action, citing a lack of any criminal offense.
