A Sustainable Business Venture from Limousin to the World
Fortune can indeed be found even in the most unlikely places, especially when one utilizes resources that are sustainable and environmentally friendly. This is exemplified by Jonathan Guennec, who has made a significant impact with his company, Rozzos, which specializes in producing biodegradable, purely natural, and chemical-free straws made from reeds. Based in Morocco and in partnership with Stéphane Franco and Quentin Zimmermann, Guennec's enterprise distributes an impressive 600,000 straws globally each month, marking just the beginning of an exciting journey.
A Journey from Paris to Limousin
Born in the Paris region, Guennec moved to Limousin at a young age, barely able to walk. His mother, a flight attendant, believed that the air quality in Panazol and Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche, her hometown, was much healthier. Today, Guennec proudly identifies as a Limousin. Over the past few years, he has developed a deep passion for Morocco, where he frequently travels as a tourist. His entrepreneurial spirit was ignited during one of these trips three years ago when he visited Marrakech with his son, Enzo. At a lounge bar in the Palmeraie district, he met a couple from Bordeaux who had just purchased a riad in the city. This encounter inspired him to consider investing in Morocco, leading him to return with his family in November 2023. After finding a stunning property through the real estate agent who had worked with his new friends, he celebrated this new venture at the Kabana rooftop bar in central Marrakech. It was there that he was served a life-changing cocktail, which became a pivotal moment in his journey.
