Unveiling Morocco's Surveillance Operations: The Role of Israeli Technology

Morocco's Covert Surveillance: A Deep Dive into Espionage Tactics

Recent investigations reveal alarming insights into how the Kingdom of Morocco has allegedly engaged in the surveillance of politicians, opposition figures, and journalists, utilizing advanced technology reportedly provided by Israel. This concerning development sheds light on the intricate web of espionage tactics employed by the Moroccan intelligence apparatus under the rule of King Mohammed VI.

In the realm of espionage, it is typically the intelligence operatives who hold the upper hand, instilling doubt and fear in their targets. Questions arise: Is someone eavesdropping on me? Am I being followed? Who can I trust? However, Moroccan journalist Omar Radi turned the tables on his pursuers, causing them significant frustration in their attempts to monitor him. According to one of his former watchers, a former Moroccan intelligence officer, Radi was elusive and difficult to track. He frequently changed his locations, often hopping onto various trains, and before meetings, he would either switch off his phone or leave it at home entirely. He had a knack for ending phone calls just before any potentially significant information could be divulged. Additionally, his nightlife was marked by late nights spent in clubs, which became a source of torment for his would-be monitors. In a desperate attempt to keep up with him, the intelligence operatives resorted to using what they termed a 'monster weapon'—the Pegasus spyware.
