RS Berkane's Struggles Continue in Morocco's Professional League
In the latest developments from Morocco's professional football league, RS Berkane finds itself grappling with an unprecedented winless streak as it approaches the fifth round of matches. The team, which was the runner-up in the last season, has yet to secure a victory and is now preparing to face Morocco Fes on Thursday, October 27, 2026, at the prestigious Stade Chérifien in Meknes. The match is set to kick off at 8 PM local time, and the pressure is mounting on the team's Portuguese coach, Pedro Lita, commonly known as 'Bobbysta', to turn the tide and deliver a much-needed win.
Throughout the current season, Berkane has struggled to find its form, recording a series of disappointing results. The team managed to draw its opening matches against Moghreb Tetouan and Union Touarga, both ending in goalless stalemates. Additionally, a thrilling encounter against Nahdat Zemamra saw the team equalize at 2-2, but still, no wins have been achieved. With these results, Berkane stands alongside Moghreb Tetouan and Nahdat Zemamra as the only teams yet to taste victory this season.
As Berkane gears up for the upcoming match, the stakes have never been higher. The team is eager to reclaim its balance and secure its first win of the season, especially following its impressive qualification for the group stage of the African Champions League, which adds to the anticipation surrounding this match. Conversely, Morocco Fes is also looking to capitalize on its home advantage and the support of its passionate fanbase to secure a positive outcome against one of the league's prominent clubs.
This clash not only holds significant implications for the team’s morale but also serves as a pivotal moment for the coach, Bobbysta, who is under increasing scrutiny regarding his future at the helm of Berkane. The pressure to achieve a victory is paramount, and both teams are poised to deliver an exciting encounter that fans in Morocco will not want to miss.
