Moroccan Airfare for Christmas Expected to Drop by 19% from France

Affordable Flights for Moroccans Returning Home for Christmas

As the festive season approaches, Moroccans living in Europe can rejoice as new research indicates that airfare for returning to Morocco for Christmas is expected to decrease significantly. A recent study has revealed that flight prices to various Moroccan cities are set to drop, with reductions reaching 19% for travelers departing from France and even more impressive savings of 26% for those flying from the United Kingdom. This is particularly beneficial for Moroccans in France who are planning to reunite with their families during the holiday season.

According to data released on October 13 by the flight comparison platform KAYAK, the average round-trip airfare to major Moroccan cities like Casablanca and Rabat has decreased by 19% compared to the same period last year. This trend is a welcome relief for families seeking to enjoy the festive spirit in their homeland. In addition to Casablanca and Rabat, other popular destinations such as Agadir and Marrakech are also experiencing a decline in average flight prices, making Morocco a favored choice for holiday travel.

Timing Matters: Best Days to Fly

For families preparing for their holiday travels, the timing of their departure could significantly impact their overall costs. The KAYAK report highlighted that December 23 emerges as an especially advantageous date for international departures from France, with average prices being 38% lower than those on December 19, which is noted as the most expensive day for travel during this period. This information is particularly useful for Moroccan travelers who have some flexibility in their travel dates.

The study is based on searches conducted between April 1 and September 1, 2026, for travel planned between December 19, 2026, and January 9, 2027. Prices were compared to those from the previous year during the same holiday period, providing a comprehensive overview of the evolving airfare landscape. Furthermore, historical data shows that flight prices for international travel generally remained stable between early October and the week before Christmas 2025, fluctuating between 336 and 357 euros on average.
