This exciting event promises to be a celebration of health and community spirit, encouraging participants of all ages and backgrounds to come together in the pursuit of fitness and wellness.
In collaboration with the Moroccan National Commission for Education, Science, and Culture, along with several partners, this marathon will be themed: “Let’s Run Together for Inclusive Well-Being and Mental Health.” The initiative aims to transform sporting activities into a powerful vehicle for promoting well-being, fostering inclusivity, and enhancing mental health awareness. While athletic performance is certainly valued, the primary focus of the event is to highlight the numerous benefits of physical activity on mental health and overall quality of life.
The 9-kilometer race is scheduled to start at 9:00 AM, with the starting point located in front of the ICESCO headquarters on Avenue des FAR in the Hay Riad neighborhood of Rabat. Participants will have the opportunity to collect their race bibs and complete their registration between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM. To ensure accessibility, participation in the marathon is free of charge, allowing a broad spectrum of the community to engage in this sporting event.
In addition to the health benefits, exciting prizes, including valuable awards and airline tickets, will be up for grabs for the winners, adding a competitive edge to this inclusive initiative. Through this fourth edition, ICESCO reaffirms its commitment to promoting an active lifestyle and raising public awareness about the vital role of sports in maintaining mental health. For one morning, the streets of Rabat will serve as a vibrant stage for solidarity, inclusion, and well-being, showcasing the power of community engagement through sport.
