Warm Weather Expected Across Morocco with Scattered Showers in the North and Southeast

Weather Forecast for Morocco: Warm Temperatures and Scattered Showers

Casablanca – Today, Morocco is set to experience a warm and pleasant weather pattern across multiple regions, with the possibility of scattered showers in the northern Rif mountains, the Atlas Mountains, and the far southeast, as reported by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). The temperature variations across the country are significant; for instance, Laayoune and Dakhla will likely reach a high of 37°C, while the more temperate region of Ifrane is expected to record a high of only 20°C. In the vibrant cities of Agadir and Marrakech, temperatures are projected to hover around 30°C, providing ideal conditions for outdoor activities, whereas Casablanca will experience a moderate high of 24°C.

The DGM also forecasts the possibility of scattered showers in the Rif and Atlas regions, as well as the far southeastern areas of Morocco. During the early morning and night hours, low clouds will form along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts and in the Moulouya Valley, potentially leading to localized drizzle and fog, which may affect visibility for travelers and residents alike.

As the day progresses, daytime temperatures are expected to rise in the inland plains located west of the Atlas mountains, particularly in the Saiss region, inland Souss, and the southeast. Other areas across the country will likely experience slightly lower or relatively stable temperatures, contributing to the diverse climate that Morocco is known for.

Moreover, moderate wind gusts are anticipated in the southern provinces and around the bustling city of Tangier. Regarding sea conditions, the Mediterranean is expected to remain calm to slightly rough, while the Strait of Gibraltar may see slightly rough to rough seas. The Atlantic coast, particularly between Larache and Tan-Tan, will face rough seas, with conditions potentially becoming very rough at times.

In light of these weather conditions, residents and travelers are encouraged to stay updated with local weather reports, especially in areas prone to fog that may diminish visibility. Additionally, those along the Atlantic coast should be cautious of rough seas that could impact maritime activities.
