The event was characterized by nine days filled with engaging discussions, professional meetings, and key moments centered around the theme of "Sustainability of Animal Production and Food Sovereignty." The show featured the participation of 1,590 exhibitors, including representatives from 76 different countries, with 360 foreign exhibitors and 538 cooperatives showcasing their offerings.
Strengthening Agricultural Ties and Future Cooperation
This year's SIAM not only reinforced its status as a crucial national, African, and international platform for agriculture and the development of its value chains, but it also emphasized the importance of Portugal's presence as the guest of honor. This collaboration enriched the quality of discussions and opened new avenues for cooperation in areas such as innovation, sustainability, agricultural research, and food security, thereby strengthening the ties between Morocco and Portugal. Additionally, the event saw strong ministerial participation, including Ahmed El Bouari, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, along with various Moroccan and international officials who contributed to collective reflections on the future of agricultural chains, adaptation to climate change, animal production, digitalization, financial inclusion, cooperatives, and the valorization of local products. Kamal Hidane expressed his gratitude to all institutional partners, exhibitors, delegations, professional organizations, and media, emphasizing that this collective commitment solidifies SIAM's status as a strategic and pivotal meeting point for agricultural sectors, territories, and Morocco's food sovereignty.
