2026 Moroccan Legislative Elections: Final Results Announced

The final results of the legislative elections held on September 23, 2026, have been officially announced by the provincial and regional committees, confirming earlier provisional results. A statement from the Ministry of the Interior, released on Friday, highlights that the counting operations were conducted by commissions presided over by magistrates across various prefectures and regions of the kingdom. The results concerning the election of members for the House of Representatives have now been proclaimed, with the official minutes submitted to the Constitutional Court in accordance with the law. The Ministry of the Interior reinforces that the final results align with those previously published.

The overall results from the local and regional electoral districts indicate that the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) leads the way with a total of 97 seats. Following PAM is the National Rally of Independents (RNI), which secured 66 seats, while the Istiqlal Party (PI) obtained 65 seats. The Justice and Development Party (PJD) garnered 54 seats, and the Popular Movement (MP) achieved 29 seats. Additionally, the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP) secured 26 seats, while the Progress and Socialism Party (PPS) won 19 seats. The Constitutional Union (UC) acquired 17 seats, and the Democratic and Social Movement (MDS) managed to secure 8 seats. The Left Alliance (AG) also obtained 8 seats, while both the Democratic Forces Front (FFD) and the Party of Equity (PE) each claimed 2 seats. Lastly, both the New Democrats Party (PND) and the Unity and Democracy Party (PUD) achieved 1 seat each.

The Minister of the Interior has reminded candidates that, according to Article 86 of the Organic Law concerning the House of Representatives, they are entitled to consult the minutes from various offices and counting commissions within the administrative authority premises for eight working days following the submission of these minutes. This law also stipulates that any candidate whose election is subject to appeal has the right to review and obtain copies of the electoral operation minutes during the same timeframe, once their appeal request has been received.
