Royal Tribute to a Beloved Monarch
On Monday, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Ahmed, presided over a solemn religious ceremony at the Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat. This event marked the 28th anniversary of the passing of the late King Hassan II, a cherished figure in Morocco’s history. The ceremony was characterized by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the singing of praises in honor of the Prophet Muhammad, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere that reflected the nation's respect and love for their former king.
Honoring the Legacy of King Hassan II
During this significant occasion, the King, alongside Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and Prince Moulay Ahmed, visited the grave of the late King Hassan II to pay their respects and pray for the peace of his soul. The ceremony concluded with heartfelt prayers asking the Almighty to envelop the late King Hassan II in His vast mercy and grant him a place in His spacious gardens. Additionally, attendees prayed for the late King Mohammed V, beseeching divine blessings upon his resting place.
The congregation also prayed for the well-being and guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, asking for success in his endeavors and initiatives that aim to benefit and enhance the welfare of his loyal people. They sought divine support for the Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, his brother Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the esteemed royal family. This solemn gathering was attended by the Prime Minister, the Presidents of both houses of Parliament, advisors to the King, government officials, leaders of constitutional bodies, senior military officers, and representatives of Islamic diplomatic missions in Rabat, alongside other distinguished civil and military figures.
