Fostering Solidarity During Ramadan
In the spirit of Ramadan, filled with warmth and human solidarity, the Fes Chamber of Pharmacists organized a special Iftar (the meal to break the fast) for students from Sub-Saharan Africa at the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry in Fes. This initiative took place in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere, blending the essence of the holy month with values of brotherhood and mutual support. Attending students expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this humanitarian gesture, reflecting the deep connections between Morocco and its African neighbors.
During the event, Professor Tarek Saqli Al-Husseini delivered a profound presentation highlighting the esteemed scientific reputation of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry at Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah University. He emphasized that its graduates serve as ambassadors of competence and excellence on both national and international stages, achieving remarkable success across various medical and pharmaceutical disciplines both within Morocco and abroad.
Dr. Hassan Atash, President of the Fes Chamber of Pharmacists, elaborated on the Ramadan program executed by the group "Pharmacists of Goodness." This initiative has become an annual tradition, showcasing the spirit of volunteerism among pharmacists and their dedication to community service. The program includes distributing "Ramadan food baskets" to over 100 needy families and organizing Iftar tables for students and Quran memorization students, particularly during the last ten nights of this blessed month.
Continuing a Legacy of Care and Compassion
Furthermore, this series of charitable and social initiatives led by the Fes Chamber of Pharmacists will culminate with a noble humanitarian action, providing a significant quantity of infant formula for abandoned children. This effort embodies the highest ideals of compassion, social solidarity, and mutual support. These efforts are part of the ongoing commitment by pharmacists to assist vulnerable groups and promote values of cooperation within society, aimed at fostering a culture of solidarity and care for the most disadvantaged.
The occasion also served as a platform to acknowledge the social and humanitarian initiatives undertaken by pharmacists, reflecting their solidarity and ongoing commitment to community service alongside their health and professional roles. The evening underscored the strong bond between the pharmacy institution and the college administration, celebrating the mutual trust shared and reminding attendees of the existing partnerships aimed at enhancing pharmaceutical education and elevating academic and professional services.
As the blessed Ramadan evening concluded, attended by the university's Vice President, the Deputy Dean, the Secretary-General of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, and several faculty members, participants prayed for the acceptance of good deeds, blessings from the Night of Decree, peace in hearts, abundance in sustenance, and health for all. They expressed hopes for continued safety and well-being for everyone.
