In an exclusive revelation by Africafoot, Kawkab Marrakech has successfully secured a deal with Guinean defender Aboubacar Camara as part of their preparations for the upcoming season. The 25-year-old player joins the Marrakechi club on a free transfer after his stint in Romania, where he played for several teams including FC U Craiova and Metaloglobus.

Aboubacar Camara’s career path has been quite dynamic; he initially joined FC U Craiova in September 2024 from NK Rudes in Croatia, also on a free transfer. His journey continued with a loan to Metaloglobus in July 2025 before making a permanent switch to the Romanian club in January 2026, all without any transfer fees involved. During the 2025/26 season, Camara played a total of 26 matches across all competitions, including 17 appearances in the SuperLiga and 8 in the relegation group, along with one appearance in the Romanian Cup. His tenure was marked by five yellow cards and one red card following a second booking.

A Wealth of European Experience

Camara, who honed his skills in France at AJ Auxerre, where he progressed through the youth ranks and eventually played for the reserve team, has accumulated considerable experience since then. He transferred to FC 93 Bobigny in 2021 before embarking on his international journey, which took him to Croatia and eventually Romania. His diverse experience across different European leagues is expected to be a significant asset for Kawkab Marrakech as they aim to build a competitive squad for the season ahead.
