The city of Agadir has embarked on a transformative road project valued at 130 million Moroccan Dirhams, aimed at enhancing road safety and accommodating the region's urban expansion. This initiative was officially launched on a recent Friday in the commune of Drarga, situated within the Agadir Ida-Outanane prefecture, under the auspices of Saïd Amzazi, the Wali of the Souss-Massa region and governor of the Agadir Ida-Outanane prefecture.

The project focuses on the improvement and rehabilitation of a segment of the Abbassiyines road along with the entrance to Drarga. This endeavor is part of a collaborative effort involving the Wilaya of Souss-Massa, the Drarga commune, and the Al Omrane Souss-Massa company. Project Details and Expectations

Spanning a distance of 6.4 kilometers, the construction is expected to be completed within a maximum timeframe of 18 months, as stated by Hicham El Faleh, the General Director of Al Omrane Souss-Massa, in a declaration to MAP. Funded by the Drarga commune, the project will include significant upgrades to the roadway, the establishment of green spaces, and improvements to public lighting systems.

The launch ceremony was attended by the president of the Drarga commune and representatives from relevant public services, emphasizing the collaborative nature of this significant infrastructure project.
