Significant Interest in Agadir's Logistics Zone

Following the call for expressions of interest (AMI) for the Agadir Logistics Zone, the Moroccan Agency for Logistics Development (AMDL), through its subsidiary, the Moroccan Company for Logistics Installations (SMIL), has initiated the necessary steps to finalize the transfer agreements for lots designated to host logistics real estate projects aimed at establishing Class A warehouses. This initiative has generated considerable interest among economic and logistics operators, with the demand recorded significantly surpassing the available supply put on the market.

Selection of 16 Logistics Operators

As a result of this selection process, 16 operators have been chosen to implement their logistics projects. Notable companies among them include SNTL, La Voie Express, BHF Atlas, BIM Maroc, Soft Group, Sahara Logistic Nord, Tegic Logistic, Africa Global Logistics – MSC, SODIPOL – Le Berger, Maroc Express, Maha Intaj, MSIMO, Winner Distributors, Phyto Sidid, Centre Pneumatique Ibn Tachfine, and Smurfit Kappa. In accordance with the established procedures, the AMDL has notified the beneficiaries, requiring them to complete the necessary transfer agreements within a firm deadline of thirty (30) days to initiate their investment projects.

Building on the success of this pilot operation, the AMDL is set to launch the marketing of the Ouled Saleh – Nouaceur Logistics Zone, located south of Casablanca. This zone, which spans an area of 70 hectares, is advancing towards finalization, with the completion of development works. Through the development of the Agadir and Ouled Saleh Logistics Zones, along with other projects currently underway, including the Zenata Logistics Zone north of Casablanca and initiatives in Fes, the AMDL continues to pursue the strategic deployment of a structured logistics land offering. This initiative aligns with efforts to enhance the logistical competitiveness of the Kingdom, support investments, and foster the economic development of various regions, as highlighted by the AMDL.
