The official statement from the Agadir Police Prefecture revealed that the events unfolded on July 9, when officers from the First Police District attempted to stop a driver who was illegally transporting passengers without the necessary authorization. Instead of adhering to the officers' directives, the driver continued to navigate the road recklessly, posing a significant threat not only to his own safety but also to that of the police and other motorists.
Thanks to swift investigative efforts, police were able to identify and arrest the suspect shortly after the incident occurred. The vehicle involved in this reckless act has been seized and is currently in the custody of the authorities. The driver is now under judicial investigation, supervised by the appropriate public prosecutor’s office, to ascertain the full circumstances surrounding the case and to establish any potential criminal charges that may arise from his actions.
