Agadir Souss-Massa Tourism Council Issues Three Calls for Interest to Enhance Destination Appeal

Agadir Souss-Massa Tourism Council Unveils Strategic Initiatives

The Agadir Souss-Massa Regional Tourism Council has recently launched three calls for interest aimed at boosting the visibility and competitiveness of the region as a tourist destination. These initiatives focus on specific areas of attraction, community engagement, and digital marketing, with the goal of selecting operators who can design, produce, and implement high-value projects surrounding three distinct yet complementary themes.

The first initiative, known as the Souss Massa Days, seeks to further develop a regional identity that remains underutilized. In its third edition, the event is set to transform from a traditional promotional gathering into a robust platform for both tourism and economic influence. According to CRT President Salaheddine Benhammane, the aim is to move beyond occasional events to establish a recurring engagement that generates significant international media exposure, real B2B opportunities for local operators, and a refreshed narrative for the destination that transcends typical beach clichés. Proposals are expected to integrate hybrid formats that encompass experiential elements, editorial content, influencer engagement, and targeted networking, all supported by precise performance indicators.

The second initiative, the Agadir Golf Cup, aims to position the destination within the premium market segment. By launching this inaugural golf event, the region clearly communicates its ambition to attract high-value clientele. The golfing sector, despite having quality infrastructure, remains underexplored, representing a valuable niche that could help extend average stay durations, reduce seasonal fluctuations, and reinforce Agadir's premium positioning. The call for interest seeks operators capable of crafting an internationally appealing event that includes customer experience, targeted media exposure, and brand partnerships.

The third call focuses on community management, particularly in social media. The objective here is to move away from generic and indistinct communication strategies to develop a strong and engaging editorial line, creating high-narrative value content and an engagement strategy grounded in data and performance metrics, as emphasized by Benhammane. The CRT anticipates a professional approach that aligns with international standards, incorporating competitive monitoring, KPI management, and the production of original content.

Interested operators are invited to submit their proposals by April 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Submissions should be sent to the following email addresses: crtagadirsm@gmail.com, with a copy to the Moroccan National Tourism Office at activationsa@onmt.org.ma, and offersconsultationcrtagadirsm@gmail.com. Detailed specifications are available via a dedicated download link. Through these three calls for interest, the Agadir Souss-Massa Regional Tourism Council aims to break away from fragmented communication approaches and instead develop coherent, realistic tools that align with the evolving requirements of the market.
