Algerian National Futsal Team Arrives in Rabat for CAN 2026
The Algerian national futsal team has officially landed in Rabat on October 10, 2026, in anticipation of their participation in the final phase of the Africa Futsal Cup of Nations 2026, set to take place in Morocco from October 12 to 21. Following their arrival, the players engaged in their first training session at 3:30 PM local time (4:30 PM Algerian time) at the Ibn Yacine hall. A total of thirteen players participated in this session, with the notable absence of Walid Betterki, who is recovering from a minor injury.
After the training, the Algerian delegation returned to their accommodation where they attended a coordination meeting organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which included players and various staff members. This meeting was followed by an official photo session for the team, marking a significant moment as they prepare for the upcoming challenges.
Under the guidance of head coach Noureddine Benamrouche, the team is set to kick off their campaign on Monday, October 12, against the host nation.
