Announcement from the Regional Directorate of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water
The Regional Directorate of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water in Marrakech–Safí has issued an announcement regarding a recent disruption in the water supply to the city of Tamensourte. This disruption was caused by an unexpected malfunction in the main supply pipeline known as "Al-Masira", leading to an estimated 50% reduction in water production.
Following the detection of this malfunction, the office mobilized all necessary human and logistical resources to address the issue promptly. The shortfall in production is being managed in coordination with the regional multi-service company of Marrakech–Safí. It is anticipated that normal water supply conditions will be restored by the night of September 24, 2026.
The Regional Directorate of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water sincerely apologizes to the residents of Tamensourte for any inconvenience this situation may cause and expresses gratitude for their understanding.
