Armed Robbery Targets Cigarette Shop in Fes
In a shocking incident that occurred late Thursday night in the Narjis neighborhood of the Saïss district in Fes, two individuals executed an armed robbery on a cigarette shop. The assailants, brandishing a large knife, threatened the shop owner and subsequently fled with a significant amount of cash and valuable merchandise.
According to available information, the suspects forcibly entered the store, with one wielding a substantial weapon, and proceeded to intimidate and assault the owner, ultimately stealing approximately 25,000 Moroccan dirhams along with a large quantity of cigarette boxes valued at over 20,000 dirhams. This brazen act of violence has left the local community in shock.
Upon receiving a report of the incident, the police from the 19th security district promptly arrived on the scene and initiated an on-site investigation. They utilized surveillance camera footage from the store, which, alongside testimonies from the victim, aided in identifying one of the suspects involved in this crime.
Authorities from the Fes Police Directorate are continuing their intensive search and investigation to apprehend the culprits, who have escaped to an unknown location. This operation is under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, emphasizing the commitment to restore safety and order in the community.
