Arrest of Key Suspect in Contractor's Murder
In a significant development regarding a recent homicide case in Marrakech, Moroccan police have successfully apprehended a third suspect linked to the murder of a contractor. This arrest took place early on Thursday, July 16, 2026, and was made in coordination with local security forces in Martil. The detained individual is believed to be the mastermind and primary instigator behind the heinous act, which involved the use of a corrosive substance.
Reports indicate that there were pre-existing financial disputes between the accused and the victim, who had been business partners in various commercial ventures. Earlier, law enforcement had already arrested two other suspects: one is accused of carrying out the attack using the corrosive material, while the other allegedly assisted the perpetrator in fleeing the crime scene.

The case dates back to July 7, when the contractor suffered an assault inside his garage at his residence in Marrakech, where he was attacked with a substance known locally as "water-cutting". Tragically, he succumbed to his severe injuries shortly thereafter.
