Young Man Arrested for Stealing Family Jewelry in Marrakech

In a recent incident that has captured public attention, a young man in his twenties from the Jemaâ Ghmate region of Al Haouz province has been apprehended by the Royal Gendarmerie for his involvement in the theft of family jewelry valued at over 80,000 dirhams. The suspect reportedly stole these precious items before fleeing to Marrakech, where he checked into an unclassified hotel near the bustling Jemaâ El Fna square. His arrest followed a tip-off from a relative who provided information regarding his whereabouts, leading law enforcement to take swift action. This individual was already on the police radar due to a previous warrant related to the theft of gold bracelets from his family home and had also been implicated in an earlier case involving the theft of 30,000 dirhams.
