The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has officially announced the candidacy of lawyer Mohamed Sabari as its candidate for the party's list in the Gueliz district of Marrakech, with Mohamed Chaqiq serving as his deputy. In his address, Sabari, who hails from the Guelmim region, emphasized that his candidacy is aimed at serving the public good. He asserted his commitment to being a "representative of the nation in its comprehensive sense," ensuring no discrimination in his approach. He further stated that his office would remain open to all citizens, allowing him to advocate for their issues both inside and outside of Parliament.
The meeting saw the presence of prominent party leaders, including Samir Koudar, head of the organization sector, as well as deputies Tarek Hanich, Moulay Hicham El Mehajri, and Ahmed Touizi. Additionally, many heads of local communities from Marrakech and its surroundings attended, along with activists who expressed their strong support for the candidates. Previously, Sabari, who also serves as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, shared a post months ago reflecting on his deep connection to Guelmim, his place of origin, where he had represented in Parliament, largely due to the insistence of the late Abdelwahab Belafkih. He described Guelmim as "the land of memory and loyalty," highlighting the ongoing developmental challenges in the Wad Noun region and emphasizing his oversight efforts concerning communities like Bouizkane, Takanat, and Taghjijt. He noted that while positions may change, values remain constant, responding positively to the national party's nomination decisions.
