Barcelona's Friendly Match in Morocco at Risk of Cancellation

Despite an official agreement having been reached between the two parties to hold the match, uncertainty looms large.
According to "Mundo Deportivo," Barcelona's management has yet to make an official announcement regarding the match, despite having completed the necessary arrangements earlier. They are currently awaiting an assessment of the situation over the coming days in order to make a definitive decision about whether the match will proceed as planned.
The club is reportedly taking a cautious approach, choosing not to issue any formal announcements at this juncture, in light of potential developments that could impact the organization of the event, especially considering the sensitivity of the current political circumstances.
If the situation improves in the upcoming days, the match is expected to take place on the scheduled date of August 15th in Tangier. However, the possibility of cancellation remains if the current conditions persist without any change.
Should the friendly match against Ittihad Tanger be confirmed as cancelled, Barcelona will shift its focus to preparing for the new season by participating in a three-team tournament in Udine, Italy, on August 8th. In this tournament, they will face Udinese and Nottingham Forest in two separate matches, each consisting of one half (45 minutes each), as part of the preparation program devised by coach Hans Flick.
Following this, the Catalan team is set to compete in the Joan Gamper Trophy against Al Ahly on August 19th, before kicking off their official La Liga campaign with a match against Elche on August 23rd.
