Boston Consulting Group Expands Leadership in East Africa
The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a prominent global strategy consulting firm, is enhancing its operations in East Africa with the strategic transfer of two senior leaders, Thomas Jensen and Henok Eyob, from its offices in Stockholm and New York to Nairobi. This move underscores BCG's commitment to bolstering its presence in the rapidly evolving African market.
With nearly 600 consultants and staff distributed across its offices in key cities including Cairo, Casablanca, Johannesburg, Lagos, and Nairobi, BCG has established a solid foundation in Africa. The firm was recently recognized as one of the leading consulting firms on the continent, showcasing its growing influence and expertise in the region.
New Roles and Vision for the Future
Thomas Jensen, who has been with BCG since 2000, specializes in the Consumer and Retail practice and has held numerous global leadership roles throughout his tenure. In his new position in Nairobi, he will lead the firm's Consumer capability in Africa, focusing on advising grocery and specialty retailers on critical areas such as strategy, transformation, and the adoption of digital and AI technologies. Jensen expressed his enthusiasm for this new chapter, stating, "I am eager to expand my efforts in East Africa and support our clients from Nairobi.
