Bensaid Launches Cultural Event at Lixus
On the evening of Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the Minister of Culture, Youth, and Communication, Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, inaugurated the performances of "Nostalgia - Echoes of the Walls" at the ancient site of Lixus in Larache. This cultural event, held under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aims to transform this historical site into a vibrant theater that evokes the memory of the civilizations that have passed through the region.
Significant Attendance and Artistic Ambitions
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of dignitaries, including the representative of His Majesty in the Larache region, the parliamentary representative for Larache, Mohamed Hamani, and the President of the Larache Municipal Council, Abdel Moumen Sabihi, among others. This event marks the second stop of a national tour, having previously taken place at the Bab Makina space in Fez. The performances offer an immersive artistic experience that blends music, light, and history, reflecting an innovative vision aimed at revitalizing and enhancing archaeological sites with a contemporary approach.
The artistic program will run until April 12, featuring three performances daily.
