Morocco's Commitment to African Security and Stability
Nasser Bourita, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, reaffirmed the nation’s strong commitment to enhancing security and stability across Africa during the fifth high-level meeting of African security and counter-terrorism agency heads, held in El Jadida. This meeting, part of the Marrakech Platform, was co-chaired by Morocco and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism. The Marrakech Platform, launched in 2022, aims to unite African security agency leaders and international partners to enhance cooperation against common threats. This latest gathering continues a series of meetings held in previous years in various Moroccan cities, including Marrakech, Tangier, Fez, and Agadir. These forums are crucial for exchanging experiences and strengthening capabilities across the continent.
