Brothers Estéban and Nathan Liénard Prepare for the 4L Trophy between Biarritz and Marrakech
In February, two brothers from Fontaine-la-Guyon, Estéban (21) and Nathan Liénard (18), are set to embark on an exhilarating journey, navigating the vast dunes of Morocco in their sand-colored Renault 4L. This thrilling expedition is not only a test of endurance and skill but also a humanitarian endeavor, as they participate in the 4L Trophy 2027, a unique sporting event that combines adventure with a noble cause. Scheduled to take place from February 17 to 28, this year's rally will witness over a thousand Renault 4L vehicles setting off from Biarritz to Marrakech, marking the 30th edition of this iconic race.
At the Liénard family home in the heart of Fontaine-la-Guyon, the brothers have affectionately named their vehicle "Yama 4L." Currently, it stands pristine, devoid of any decorations or sponsorships, ready to be transformed into a racing icon. With its original sandy hue, the car seems to exude an air of confidence, almost daring the Moroccan sands to challenge it. Estéban explains, "We didn’t choose the color; we bought it this way in March 2025 from a retired couple in Blois. It has 144,000 kilometers on the odometer." The excitement is palpable as the brothers prepare for their adventure, searching for parts and sponsors to ensure their journey is both successful and fulfilling.
