Improving the Infrastructure Management in Casablanca
In a significant move aimed at bolstering the operational efficiency of its transport infrastructure, the city of Casablanca has initiated a project to enhance the technical management of three strategic underpasses. Following the completion of security works on the Almohades and Dakar tunnels, Casa Aménagement has announced plans to oversee the technical operations of these critical transit points for a duration of one year, with an estimated budget of 1.2 million DH. This initiative is designed to ensure the continuous functionality of these essential roadways.
The underpasses included in this project are the Almohades Tunnel, the Hassan II Mosque Tunnel, and the Dakar Tunnel. The management plan entails round-the-clock supervision, ensuring a dedicated team will monitor these facilities 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. The services provided will encompass the oversight of surveillance systems, the SCADA system, and other technical equipment necessary for maintaining optimal operational standards.
Moreover, the project will involve the monitoring of alarms, coordination of interventions, and the overall operational management of the infrastructure. The primary objective of this comprehensive management strategy is to ensure the uninterrupted service of these road infrastructures, enhance their operational safety, and guarantee rapid response in the event of any incidents.
This initiative aligns with Casa Aménagement's ongoing efforts to improve the safety and functionality of Casablanca's tunnels. Earlier this year, the company undertook substantial security works on the Almohades and Dakar underpasses, which included maintenance and restoration of emergency exits and security doors, with a budget of nearly 760,000 DH and a completion timeframe of four months.
