Casablanca Hosts the 8th Edition of the Science Festival Focused on Scientific Evolution

Exploring the Evolution of Science in Casablanca

Casablanca is set to welcome the 8th edition of the Science Festival, an essential event dedicated to the popularization of scientific knowledge. Under the theme "The Evolution of Science," this year's festival encourages the youth of Casablanca to delve into the history of human knowledge and its significant transformations over time. Organized by engineering students from the Hassania School of Public Works since 2016, the festival will take place at the United Nations Station, which will be transformed into a vibrant open-air laboratory for this special occasion.

Designed as a hub for exchange and discovery, the festival will offer interactive workshops, immersive demonstrations, and inspiring exhibitions. With a playful and educational approach, visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to engage hands-on, experimenting and gaining a deeper understanding of the phenomena that shape our world.

Engaging Activities and Fundamental Questions

Beyond mere discovery, the event aims to illuminate major scientific transitions by addressing fundamental questions: How has humanity progressed from stargazing to space exploration? In what ways has medicine transformed our daily lives? "Understanding our scientific origins is pivotal for envisioning our future. Our goal is to make this evolution tangible and accessible to every passerby at the United Nations Square," emphasizes the organizing club.

The program is structured around several thematic areas covering a broad spectrum of knowledge. Visitors can explore physics and energy through the mysteries of electricity and the wonders of optics, discover engineering and the future via robotics demonstrations and mechanical principles, or embark on a journey between the living and the infinite, spanning human anatomy and astronomical exploration.

With over ten thematic workshops and numerous interactive stands, this 8th edition promises an immersive scientific experience accessible to everyone, uniting the curious, enthusiasts, and families under a shared ambition: to understand the world better in order to imagine a brighter future.

To recall, the EHTP club organizes a series of significant events each year, including an astronomical observation evening perfect for exploring the mysteries of the universe, a traveling science fair aimed at democratizing science in remote areas, and an environmental forum focused on current ecological challenges.
