Casablanca-Settat Region Initiates Integrated Information System with 35 MDH Investment

Transforming Administrative Management in Casablanca-Settat

On July 17, 2026, it was announced that the Casablanca-Settat region is set to launch an integrated information system with a significant budget of 35 million dirhams. This ambitious project, planned to unfold over a nine-month period, aims to modernize administrative management and streamline the flow of information across various departments within the regional council. The implementation will occur in four distinct phases: assessing needs and designing the solution, software development, deployment within regional services, and finally, training users and managing the transition to the new system.

The primary goal of this initiative is to automate essential internal functions within the region, such as human resource management, budgetary and accounting oversight, correspondence management, archiving, and project management. By doing so, the regional administration aims to ensure that decision-makers have quick and reliable access to critical data, significantly enhancing operational efficiency.

Ensuring Effective Governance Through Digitalization

To achieve a successful rollout, the design of the new information system will be based on a comprehensive diagnosis of the current organizational structure, taking into account the specific needs of each department and the interactions among various branches of the regional council. Once operational, this system will facilitate secure information exchange through a dedicated internal network, thereby promoting transparency and accountability.

As outlined in the specifications, the new platform will guarantee traceability for all processed data and will enable monitoring of the region's operational effectiveness through key performance indicators (KPIs). It will also centralize human resource management and integrate the financial functions of the local government. With this initiative, the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council aims to bolster its internal governance and align with the broader trend of digitalizing Morocco's administrative framework. The opening of bids for this project is scheduled for September 8, 2026.
